On site in . . Bingham!

Demolition done and steels in place for a major ground floor refurbishment to our clients property in Bingham.

Our client approached us with the basic brief of ‘I hate the layout of my house . . make it work’ – the house in question is a typical early 90’s three-bedroom detached property. The ground floor consisting of a poorly-arranged kitchen, dining room, sitting room and wc, with a recently completed garage conversion. After initial discussions with our client, a few sketches and the mandatory tapping of walls, we’re delighted to say she was brave enough to follow our advice and (almost in the words of Edwyn Collins) ‘rip it out and start again’!

We’re pretty much gutting the ground floor, which has meant having to introduce some steel structure to support the first floor joists, we’re also relocating the wc into the recently completed garage conversion / study. Its quite a substantial project for a relatively modest house and just goes to demonstarte the value that a fresh design approach can bring. Also, it certainly wouldnt have been possible without a brave client who is prepared to buy into our suggestions! Zoë, we’ve never met a girl like you before!
